I have a conflict; do I have to lodge an opposition?

What are the minimum requirements for a correct opposition?

If the opposition does not meet the minimum requirements then it is not admissible and will not be considered.

The form must clearly include the following information:

• the identity of the opponent
• the trademark against which the opposition is being filed
• the trademark on the basis of which the opposition is being filed

The opposition must be filed within the opposition term and the fees must be paid.

In case the opposition term has not expired and you rectify the faults within this period of time, the opposition will still be admissible.
